Data & context

Mem0

Application-level fact extraction and memory retrieval rather than a storage engine alone.

Overview

Research summary

Mem0 adds a memory layer to AI applications by extracting useful facts from interactions and retrieving relevant context in later sessions. Applications associate memories with users, agents or sessions and combine the results with their own model calls. The project supports configurable language models, embedding providers and storage backends. Its open-source libraries and self-hosted components are Apache-2.0 licensed. The managed platform includes additional proprietary optimizations, so hosted benchmark results and advanced features should not be assumed to describe the open-source implementation.
