Overview

Research summary

GSD Core is a meta-prompting and workflow layer for coding agents such as Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Kimi and others. Each milestone is handled phase by phase: decisions are captured before planning, execution runs in fresh-context workers, verification checks the delivered behavior, and shipping closes the phase. Persistent artifacts such as project state and context survive session boundaries, while fresh subagents keep research, planning and implementation from filling one long context window.

It supports both greenfield projects and onboarding existing codebases and is distributed as an MIT-licensed JavaScript/Node.js package.
