Overview

Research summary

Vosk is a speech recognition toolkit designed to run without a network connection. It provides streaming recognition, support for multiple languages and dialects, configurable vocabularies and speaker identification. Bindings expose the recognizer to Python, Java, Node.js, C#, C++, Rust, Go and other environments.

The same toolkit can support assistants, dictation, subtitles or interview transcription on devices ranging from mobile phones and Raspberry Pi systems to servers. Applications choose and download suitable acoustic models separately. The API repository uses Apache-2.0, while model licensing should be checked for the specific downloaded model.
