Research summary
siGit Code runs its agent and GGUF model locally, avoiding API keys and cloud inference for its default workflow. On first use it downloads a supported model and subsequently loads it from the local cache. The same model and system prompt can be used through a full-screen terminal interface or through ACP, where editors start the agent as a stdio process.
Documented integrations include Zed, Xcode, and VS Code; Xcode tools can be added through an MCP bridge when the corresponding editor permission is enabled. The product website separately offers siGit Code Cloud for users who prefer hosted inference, so that service should not be conflated with the open local agent. Platform support also differs by interface: ACP is documented across macOS, Linux, and Windows, while the terminal UI currently relies on Unix terminal behavior and is unavailable on Windows.
