sherpa-onnx

A broad offline speech toolkit with native bindings and deployment examples across device architectures.

Overview

Research summary

sherpa-onnx provides speech and audio inference through ONNX Runtime, with support for streaming and offline processing. Its capabilities include speech recognition, text-to-speech, speaker identification and diarization, voice activity detection, keyword spotting, audio tagging and source separation. The project supplies bindings for multiple programming languages and examples for desktop, mobile, embedded and server environments, including WebSocket services.

Developers select compatible models and integrate the required task instead of depending on a single hosted speech provider. The toolkit code uses Apache-2.0, while downloaded models retain their own licensing and hardware requirements.
