Qdrant

Filter-aware vector retrieval with dense and sparse search in a self-hostable Rust engine.

Overview

Research summary

Qdrant indexes vectors and associated payload metadata so applications can search for similar records while applying structured filters. Its retrieval features support dense, sparse and hybrid search patterns, and clients can connect through REST, gRPC or supported libraries. The Rust engine can be deployed on infrastructure controlled by the operator. Qdrant Cloud adds managed deployment and commercial service terms. The Apache-2.0 repository license covers the open-source engine, while embedding generation and application-level answer synthesis remain separate choices.
