Research summary
MiMo Code is developed as both a practical coding agent and a harness that co-evolves with Xiaomi MiMo coding models. It performs repository exploration, edits and command execution from a terminal-oriented workflow, with integrations intended to carry the same agent into development environments. Its value as a reference is the tight feedback loop between model behavior and harness design rather than a model-agnostic abstraction alone.
That co-design makes MiMo Code valuable for identifying assumptions a harness may make about the models it primarily targets: prompting conventions, tool schemas, context layout and recovery behavior can all evolve together.
