LangChainGo

Provides LangChain-style composition directly in Go, including provider, embedding and vector-store integrations.

Overview

Research summary

LangChainGo is a Go library for composing applications around language models. It provides model interfaces, prompt handling, chains, tool-using agents and conversation memory, with integrations for several model providers and local inference through Ollama. Retrieval workflows can combine document processing, embedding generation and vector-store adapters, allowing application code to use a common set of abstractions across different backends.

The repository includes examples of chat, streaming, function calling and retrieval-augmented generation. It is maintained as a distinct Go project under the MIT licence, rather than being a Python binding or an assurance of feature parity with every LangChain release. Developers still choose, configure and operate the model services and data stores used by their application.
