Instructor Go

Brings Instructor-style schema generation, validation and retries to typed Go model responses.

Overview

Research summary

Instructor Go helps applications request and validate structured model output using Go types. Developers describe the required result with structs and schema annotations, then invoke an adapter around a supported model client. The library handles schema construction and decoding, with validation and configurable retries for responses that fail the declared constraints.

Its documentation also covers streaming, nested structures and multiple provider integrations. This makes it useful for extraction and typed application workflows, while validation of the output shape does not establish that generated facts are correct. The project has its own Go API and repository, distinct from the Python Instructor package.

The current canonical repository is jxnl/instructor-go and the code is MIT licensed.
