Detectron2

A modular vision research platform with reusable detection and segmentation components.

Overview

Research summary

Detectron2 provides implementations and infrastructure for object detection, instance and semantic segmentation, and related visual recognition tasks. It includes reusable model components, training utilities, datasets and examples that can support both research projects and application development. Additional projects build capabilities such as panoptic segmentation, dense pose estimation and specialized detection methods on the same foundation.

Developers configure a task, train or load a model, then use inference and export options appropriate to their deployment. The repository is maintained under the facebookresearch organization and releases its library code under Apache-2.0.
