Research summary
Antfly combines database storage, search and model inference for applications that retrieve and generate answers from their own data. Its current engine is written in Zig and supports full-text search, dense and sparse vectors, graph traversal and configurable enrichment such as chunking and embedding generation. Developers can access it through HTTP APIs, SDKs or a CLI and inspect results in the Antfarm dashboard.
Deployment options include an embedded database, a single node and distributed configurations; Go packages provide clients and integrations rather than defining the current core implementation. The server and in-process Zig embedding package use Elastic License 2.0, which restricts offering their functionality as a hosted or managed service. SDKs and specified supporting packages are Apache-2.0 licensed.
