Agent frameworks

agent4s

Separates typed provider and tool integration from a small effectful graph executor for Scala agent loops.

Overview

Research summary

agent4s is a small Scala 3 toolkit for assembling AI agents from provider clients, typed tools and graph-based workflows. Its LLM module defines common request and response types, a tool registry and JSON schema derivation, with adapters for several model providers. Its graph module models state transitions, conditional routing and execution as streams, allowing developers to construct repeated model and tool interactions. The implementation uses Cats Effect, fs2 and http4s. The published LLM and graph artifacts are modules of the same project. It is an early toolkit for developers comfortable building their own agent behavior in Scala.
